Overview
The Trezor® Hardware Wallet stores private keys offline to protect your crypto from online threats. The official start page gives a step-by-step onboarding — from unboxing to performing your first secure transaction.
Step-by-step setup
- Unbox and verify — Inspect the tamper-evident packaging and follow verification instructions at trezor.io/start.
- Install Trezor Suite — Use the official Trezor Suite web app or download the desktop client via the Trezor Suite Download page.
- Install Trezor Bridge (if needed) — For browser connectivity, install Trezor Bridge Download.
- Initialize device — Create a device PIN and securely write down the recovery seed. Never store the seed digitally.
- Trezor Wallet Login / Access — Connect and unlock in Trezor Suite; the device will confirm transactions on its screen, ensuring a secure Trezor Wallet Login flow.
Security best practices
- Always download Suite and Bridge from official domains: suite.trezor.io and trezor.io/bridge.
- Record your recovery seed on paper; store it in a secure, offline location.
- Enable a strong PIN and avoid sharing device access.
- Keep firmware and Suite up to date—updates include critical security fixes.
Using Trezor Suite App
The Trezor Suite App organizes accounts, sends/receives crypto, and displays portfolio balances. Desktop and web versions are feature-parity for most tasks; always confirm the domain in your browser when using the web app.
Troubleshooting & resources
If the device is not recognized, ensure Bridge is installed, try a different USB cable (data-capable), and check browser permissions. For official troubleshooting and guides, visit trezor.io/start and the Trezor® website.
